A note from the founder
Why HearthLight exists
For a long time, Christian artists have been handed an impossible choice: sand the faith out of your work to reach the world, or sand the craft and the culture out of it to reach the church. Make it safer. Make it smaller. Make it more beige. Make it someone else's. HearthLight exists because that choice was always a lie — and because the artists who prove it are already here, unsigned.
I believe Christ-centered media deserves the same care, artistry, and creative courage as any other art form. Not safer versions of what the world makes, but work that is beautiful because it is faithful — music, story, film, and rest that families can leave on with confidence, and that artists can pour their best into without apology.
The artists who make this work deserve dignity, clear terms, and sustainable economics. Families deserve programming built with them in mind, not extracted from them. And everyone involved deserves honesty about where we are and how we are building.
