Artist submission terms.

You keep your ownership

Submitting work to HearthLight does not transfer ownership, copyright, or any intellectual property rights to us. You remain the sole owner of everything you submit unless and until you and HearthLight sign a separate written agreement that explicitly transfers or licenses those rights.

Submission does not guarantee selection

We do our best to review every submission carefully, but submitting work does not guarantee review, a response, selection, placement, broadcast, payment, or ongoing participation in the network. We receive more submissions than we can feature and must make editorial choices based on programming fit, quality, and network needs. A non-response should not be interpreted as a judgment on the value of your work.

How we use submitted materials

By submitting, you grant HearthLight a limited, non-exclusive right to review your materials internally for programming fit. This allows our team to listen, watch, read, and evaluate your work. It does not grant us any right to broadcast, publish, distribute, or commercially exploit your work.

For clarity, submitting work to HearthLight does not grant us any right to:

• Publish, broadcast, stream, or otherwise distribute your work.
• Sublicense your work to any third party.
• Monetize your work or earn revenue from it in any form.
• Archive your work outside of our internal review process.
• Create derivative works, remixes, edits, or adaptations.
• Use your work, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI or machine learning model.

If we believe your work is a good fit, we will contact you to discuss next steps. Any broadcast, licensing, sublicensing, revenue share, commission, derivative-work, or any other use of your work beyond internal review requires a separate written agreement signed by both you and HearthLight.

You must own or control the rights

By submitting, you confirm that you own or control all rights to the work you are sharing, or that you have obtained all necessary permissions from rights holders. You are solely responsible for any claims arising from a breach of this representation.

Confidentiality and discretion

We treat submissions with care and do not share them outside our review team without permission. However, we cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality, and you should not submit anything you consider a trade secret or highly sensitive.

No compensation for unsolicited submissions

Unless we enter into a separate written agreement, HearthLight does not pay for or compensate unsolicited submissions. Submitting work is free and voluntary.
